Kolhorn, a crossroads of waterways.
The north route goes past the village Anna Paulowna, through the Amstelmeer into the Waddenzee. This route is an ‘upright mast” route.
The west route goes past the village Niedorp and to the small town Schagen.
The south route goes down to Heerhugowaard and Alkmaar and in Alkmaar you can enter The Noordhollands canal. This canal leads to Purmerend and Amsterdam southward and Den Helder northward.
The east route goes to Medemblik and to the IJsselmeer.

One of our activities is developing business accommodations. Especially premises for small business. It is more difficult to get hold of small building plots as it is for large ones. Business building plots as a rule are largely measured. If you are in the position to find a small business building plot, the local authorities come with their requirement that you are only allowed to build a certain percentage of the lot and the you have to keep distance from your neighbours.
